The Challenge
The client purchased a raw industrial loft with beautiful bones but challenging proportions. The space needed to function as both a home and occasional workspace while honoring the building's historic character.
The Solution
I designed a layout that uses strategic room dividers and furniture placement to create distinct zones without sacrificing the open feel. Original elements like exposed brick and steel beams were preserved and highlighted, while new materials were chosen to add warmth and texture.
The Results
The finished loft balances industrial edge with homey comfort. The client now has a versatile space that works equally well for quiet evenings at home and hosting creative collaborations.
